Uncle Buck came to Redwings in the summer of 2022. Buck was a member of the Military Working Horses at Vandenberg Space Force Base for almost 12 years. Due to a long and much-appreciated career, it was time for Buck to retire after being diagnosed with arthritis and a bone spur. He was an excellent service horse with a calm temperament, and he served with the 30th security forces squadron in the United States Airforce. Buck received a full retirement ceremony, complete with being awarded a medal for his service and a certificate of Retirement.

Buck will be a permanent resident at Redwings, having earned a good retirement. He will also join Little Bit and Primo as a Redwings Ambassador Horse.
