Turk's Delight "Turk" is a kind and sensitive Thoroughbred. Turk only raced once many years ago at Santa Anita. We do not know anything about where Turk ended up for the last 15 years before he turned up at an auction in Southern California. Turk was thin and had horribly overgrown hooves. Turk was noticeably uncomfortable at the walk, partially due to the condition of his hooves, but also due to advanced arthritis in both front legs, especially his knees.

Our partner rescue, Auction Horse Rescue, paid Turk's bail and arranged to transport him to Redwings. Once he arrived we quickly arranged for the vet to come out to Xray his front feet to help our farrier develop a corrective plan for his hooves. Turk is now settled and happy at Redwings.
