In January of 1995, Redwings arrived at an auction to find a small 9-month-old burro being ridden around by two children. Burros do not reach full maturity until they are 2-3 years old, so this poor little burro was way too young to be ridden. Redwings brought little JoJo back to the sanctuary, but he has a permanent knee injury due to being worked at such a young age. JoJo was adopted in February 2016 and is enjoying life in Arroyo Grande, California.
