Joelito is a handsome Thoroughbred gelding that came to Redwings from the CARMA Placement Program. Joelito was born in Kentucky and has raced on famous tracks, including Santa Anita, Gulfstream Park, and Churchhill Downs. He raced 13 times with three wins and 3 seconds, and many were graded stakes races. On July 23, 2016, Joelito was one of three breakdowns at Del Mar, where he suffered a torn right front tendon. His owner kept him for a month to stabilize the injury before contacting CARMA.
