In March of 1999, Redwings agreed to accept eight burros that had been removed from the land in Death Valley. The BLM was removing them from their wild homes for population control. Magic had a one-month-old baby at her side, who we named Lucky. Two other burros, Annabelle and Mabel, were pregnant when they arrived, and by the end of the year, Hope and Mystic were born.
