Beauty came to Redwings as part of a neglect case. There were 110 mustangs living on a scant 2 acres in Montana. The owner had bought a few mustangs at the BLM auction, hoping to save the horses from a possible slaughter buyer. Unfortunately the owner did not geld the males and soon the mustangs started breeding. The owner got sick and was unable to care for the horses and they went hungry. Beauty and her mother Ellie were some of the first mustangs that came to Redwings to be rehabilitated because of the severe malnourishment. Because Beauty was young she became healthy and friendly in no time. She has never been trained as a saddle horse, but would make a great companion horse. She is very affectionate and enjoys her human friends.
